Bioprinting Stocks and Companies to Watch
Pure-play bioprinting stocks are rare. Here is a map of the public and private companies shaping the industry.

Bioprinting is still an early market, so most public exposure comes through broader 3D printing, life-science tools or biotech companies. Here’s a map, not a buy list.
Public companies
- BICO Group (Stockholm: BICO): parent of Cellink, one of the best-known bioprinter and bioink brands, plus lab automation.
- 3D Systems (NYSE: DDD): industrial 3D printing with a regenerative medicine program, including a collaboration on printed lung scaffolds.
- United Therapeutics (NASDAQ: UTHR): pursuing manufactured organs through several technologies, including xenotransplantation and printed scaffolds.
- CollPlant (NASDAQ: CLGN): recombinant human collagen produced in plants, used in bioinks.
- Organovo (NASDAQ: ONVO): an early pioneer whose focus has shifted over time; read recent filings.
- Stratasys and Materialise: medical 3D printing hardware and software exposure.
Private companies
Aspect Biosystems, FluidForm Bio (FRESH) and many university spin-outs raise venture funding and partner with pharma.
How to research
- Read the annual report: how much revenue actually comes from bioprinting?
- Check cash runway and dilution history.
- Watch clinical and regulatory milestones, not press-release buzzwords.
